Ways To Train

The Service Dog Academy offers several ways for you to train your service dog. Our programs are designed to be flexible enough for anyone to train their dog.
Whether you want to train in group classes, in private sessions, have your dog trained for you by a certified trainer or train online, we have a program for you.
Classes
Although individual service dog training sessions were fun to teach they were an inefficient use of our head trainers time and an unreachable financial resource for most of our students. Thankfully we have switched from individual service dog training to an intensive class format to meet our students increasing need for affordable training. We have several train your own service dog classes available. However, prior to enrolling in them you need to go through our basic pet dog classes or pay for a $135 evaluation to determine if both YOU and your DOG are fully versed in our positive reinforcement dog training concepts and methods in order to be able to follow and succeed in our strict course load.

Private Training
We can address all issues in these private training sessions including service dog task training, dealing with aggression problems, reducing and eliminating anxiety or just basic obedience.

Online Training VIA Video Conferencing!
The Service Dog Academy is happy to announce that we now offer online training through the video conferencing service Skype!
You will have the full attention and direction of a certified trainer without leaving your home. This type of training is only appropriate for obedience and task training. We do not recommended or provide it for dogs with anxiety or aggression issues.
